Foxly Pinot Noir 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFoxly is the 2nd label of Foxtrot Vineyard, released in the spring of 2020, and meant to be a more approachable, drink-now style. This blends fruit from the Okanagan and Similkameen, 1/3 whole cluster for a seperate stainless ferment, before resting in French oak (30% new) for 14 months prior to the final blend and bottling. Already pouring a bricking hue, this is soft and easy access, with dried strawberries, cherries, raspberry jam on a softer, cushy palate. Acidity is moderate, and tannins are slight, finishing with some browning spices. This feels a bit autumnal, so best to take now with wild mushroom and/or roast poultry dishes.Tasted: 28 April 2021Tasted by: Prices:
