Gérard Bertrand Pollinat' Syrah 2019

Cévennes, Languedoc, Sud de France, FrancePollinat is part of a new Bertrand series of wines that celebrates the role of bees across the Languedoc, and it is about as pleasant and quaffable as syrah gets. The grapes are lightly macerated during the pre-fermentation phase before being placed on fine lees in post-ferment stainless steel. The nose is aromatic, the palate packed with ripe, supple, dark fruit with none of the gamey, spicy notes encountered in the Northern Rhone. The finish is equally attractive with warm round black fruit flavours. Solid.Tasted: 15 February 2021Tasted by: Prices:
