Sperling Vineyards Pinot Noir 2018

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe fruit is a mix of French Dijon clones 114, 777, 828 from the biodynamically farmed home estate in East Kelowna. It all native fermented and aged in larger French oak barrels, with a small amount of new oak. 2018 opens with a light red/amber colour with a touch of brown at the edge. The nose is an earthy, spicy cherry affair with a touch of barnyard. Most of that initial profile spills onto the palate with a touch of raspberry and dried herbs and lightly grippy tannins, normal at this young age. A bit of an old-fashioned view that charms rather than overwhelms.Tasted: 19 November 2020Tasted by: Prices:
