Château Pesquié Ventoux Terrasses Rouge 2019

Ventoux, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceFrom various certified organic, biodynamically farmed estate vineyards in Ventoux averaging 300m altitude, this blend of 60/40 grenache/syrah is rooted in the region's stony limestone and iron oxide sands. After a native ferment in stainless, this aged in a mix of stainless and cement. Earthy plum, wild raspberry, crunchy cherry stream along the palate, seasoned with scrubby rosemary and thorns, and lofted with bright, easy acidity. Tannins are fine and furry, and the finish hums with ferrous stoniness imbued with a warming medicinal cherry note. Quite smart, characterful and well-priced red for enjoying now and over the short term.Tasted: 08 November 2021Tasted by: Prices: BC 18.99 BCLS AB 18.29 select private retailers ON 22.95 consignment QC 18.55 SL Producer: Château PesquiéDistributors: Appellation Wine Marketing
