Culmina Family Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom their Golden Mile Bench estate's Arise Bench, this cabernet sauvignon was aged for 16 months in French barrels (50% new). Classic cab on the nose, with savoury cassis, graphite, fragrant cedar, and ripe, medicinal cherry filling the compact, concentrated frame. You can feel the sun warmth here in the slight plumped raisination of the fruit. That said, the altitude and cab's inherent bones keep this upright. Tannins are firm, and well integrated into the deep fruit, finishing with a gentle swell of warmth.
