Mendoza, ArgentinaNever judge a wine by its label, and this is a good example. Always a tasty malbec, it has all the touchpoints in 2017. The attack is ripe and juicy, the fruit black and savoury with a peppery herbal finish and a fraction of sticky tannins poised to take on grilled meats, a mushroom pizza, or spaghetti Bolognese.
