Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis wine looks pretty with a pale salmon colour, and tastes even prettier. It’s made from a single block of clone 93 pinot noir, fermented in barriques and puncheons with native yeast. After six months' rest, it is transferred to bottle, where it spends another 22 months on lees. The up front palate is svelte with tight acidity and fresh plummy fruit before creamy lees and mineral salts set in to ride the long finish. Just a delight to drink and one of the best North American Blanc de Noirs I can remember tasting. At disgorgement, the dosage is 6 g/L of the Tantalus 2017 Pinot Noir still wine.Tasted: 27 April 2020Tasted by: Prices: BC 27.83 winery online, select private retailers

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAfter a year hiatus, it's lovely to see this Blanc de Noir back to the portfolio. From a single block of 1985 clone 93 Pinot Noir, this native fermented in barriques and puncheons, where it spent 6 months before transferring into bottle for 22 more months on lees. This was disgorged with 6 g/L of 2017 Pinot Noir. Tight and brisk, with ample perfumed cherry blossoms, plum, pink grapefruit acidity, this rides an alluring base of stony spices along a slip of fine lees, finishing with a lingering subtle savoury wild raspberry. Lovely balance here between riveting acidity and pure fruit, drinking beautifully now, but will age in your cellar.Tasted: 25 April 2020Tasted by: Prices: BC 27.83 winery online, select private retailers
