Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRosé is much about style these days, so it's best you know which style you like before you go shopping. In this case, the Quails' Gate light in alcohol (12 percent) and pale in colour rosé suggests a fresher, red-fruited, lean style, and you get that all in spades. In 2019 the blend was adjusted. The gamay and pinot noir is now teamed up with pinot meunier, replacing the pinot gris content. The meunier seems to juice the entire blend up a bit, adding some electricity and lowering the palate weight. Ready to drink and about as dry as you want it. Sip all summer long. Well done.Tasted: 22 April 2020Tasted by: Prices: BC 18.99 BCLS, winery online and select private retailers

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis juicy, easy, dry-ish rosé is a blend of gamay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier, the latter a new addition for this popular pink, replacing pinot gris of the past. PM's inclusion makes for a more serious rosé, though one with all sorts of strawberry, plum, mandarin charm. There's a nice dusting of stony spice on the finish. Well done.Tasted: 19 April 2020Tasted by: Prices: BC 18.99 BCLS, winery online and select private retailers

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA blend of gamay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier, each variety has four hours of skin contact before being pressed and fermented in stainless steel. The pale salmon hue is on trend, and so is the style. It's lean and restrained, clocking in at only 12% abv with grapefruit, crunchy red fruits, and a floral lift. Light and refreshing, it doesn't have to rely on residual sugar (it's technically dry at 2.3 g/L) to be approachable. At this price, I could easily see this becoming a summer go-to. Don't think too much; just lightly chill and enjoy.Tasted: 07 May 2020Tasted by: Prices: BC 18.99 BCLS, winery online and select private retailers
