Treana Red 2016
Central Coast, California, United StatesOver the years, this wine has evolved from an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink blend to its modern day, 75/25 cabernet sauvignon/syrah mix. In 2016 Treana Red did not disappoint, offering its customary luxurious styling and intense blackberries, dark chocolate, vanilla, cloves, and brown spices with a sensible cradle of oak. Its 100 percent Paso Robles and then some, with the chops to age a decade if not more, but you may be surprised by the acidity and freshness. You can drink it now or age it through 2026 and beyond. I thought it was perfect with a grilled rack of lamb.Tasted: 27 January 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $49.99 | 750ml | private wine stores |
