Fort Berens Reserve Riesling 2018
Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaWe love that the 2018 “Estate” Reserve Riesling, i.e. it is all Lillooet VQA fruit, the first official release from the newly minted VQA region. It was fermented in stainless steel on its native yeast, where it spent seven weeks before bottling. The lead is juicy, green apple, bitter lime, light melon, and a dusting of spices, this has a slight belly of lees to pad out the clean, crisp frame. Finishing with that bitter lime note, this would be well suited to sushi or green curries.
