Tuscany, ItalyA fantastic year to be drinking sangiovese from Tuscany, or in this case, mostly sangiovese with a splash of merlot and traditional grapes. The colour is impressively dark, the nose savoury with black cherries and black plums that work its way onto the palate. The ripeness and texture of a perfect vintage make this very attractive, especially for the price.
