Torres Salmos Priorat 2015
Priorato, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainEach time I taste this wine, I’m amazed by its balance and elegance. In 2015 it opened with a fragrance that belies Priorat, with ripe black plums sprinkled with pepper and a touch of mocha before the stony mineral electric underbelly cuts in to balance the finish. Fermented in stainless, this aged 14 months in French wood, but you wouldn’t know it thanks to the wild nature of this wine piercing the finish.
