Farnese Edizione Cinque Autoctoni 2015
ItalyOpaque in colour with an intense and persistent smoky tobacco and dried cherry and currant nose. The attack is rich, dark and supple with dense sweet black licorice and cinnamon notes mixed with plums and dusty tannins. Red meats and robust sauces are the match here. This Abruzzo red is a blend of 33% montepulciano, 30% primitivo, 25% sangiovese, 7% negroamaro, 5% malvasia. It is a modern southern red that should be well received by the hedonistic crowd.Tasted: 03 November 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $49.99 | 750ml | private wine shops |
