Farnese Edizione Cinque Autoctoni 2011

ItalyThe 13th Edizione Cinque Autoctoni comes from the 2011 harvest spread across Abruzzo, Campania, Basilicata, Puglia and Sicily. The goal is to make a southern Italian red and blending montepulciano, sangiovese, primitivo, negroamaro and malvasia near with over a year in a mix of barrels. The nose is fragrant and floral. The fruit is dark but fresh mixing black cherries, licorice and spice with dark chocolate and a touch of prunes. The finish is warm and spicy. A more modern style red that will be welcomed in North America.Tasted: 02 July 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
