Fitz Brut Sparkling Wine 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFour years down the road, the Fitz Brut, from their Greata Ranch estate, situated between Peachland and Summerland, is still showing a bright, youthful edge. The nose has that northern cool climate subtlety with notes of pear, minerals and buttered toast. The mix is 66/26/6/2/ chardonnay, pinot noir, pinot blanc and pinot meunier, grown over stony, gravel soils. Essentially dry, Fitz is the winery’s signature bubble that is adjusted yearly to reflect 'the vintage, the people and the site.' As mentioned, the freshness expressed by a citrus, green apple entry and creamy peach and pear mid-palate gives this an energized finish. Drink now or hold even longer. Fitz spends a minimum of 24 months on its lees and is much the better for it. Good value.Tasted: 26 June 2020Tasted by: Prices:
