Matua Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2016
Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandNothing much has changed here and for Matua, said to have produced New Zealand’s first sauvignon blanc in 1974 in Auckland, its likely the way they like it. The style is classically and boldly Kiwi, with intense citrus, dried herbs and jalapeno scented nose that previews a lip-smacking, citrus, peppery, tropical, passionfruit palate. The fruit is a blend of more than 100 different sites across Marlborough's Wairau and Awatere Valleys. Ready to drink and given the acidity here it can take on most dishes that come with a little fat.Tasted: 25 October 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $22.49 | 750ml | private wine shops - Everything Wine |
