Laughing Stock Vineyards Chardonnay +24/10 2017
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRich, ripe and round, this year's chardonnay is a blend of Naramata and Osoyoos fruit, whole cluster pressed and into French oak (15 percent new) for partial MLF, lees-stirring and a stint plumping in wood. The treatments are evident with the downy, plush vanilla, pear, brioche and spice. While ample at this tender age, all the components are pretty knit together, bound by nutmeg ties and finishing with ample stony / cedar spice. Enjoy this now with richer risotto dishes, creamy bisque, or hold for a year and revisit when this quiets some.
