Blue Mountain Pinot Noir 2016

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe regular pinot is a mix of fruit from estate vines as young as 10-years-old and topping out at the 32-year mark. The complexity comes from many places including six different clones, in this case de-stemmed before going through a native yeast ferment. There’s a bit more French oak showing now, but this will be a good one. It’s slightly reduced on the nose so be sure to decant it or swirl it in the glass to get started. Look for a pale pinot colour, plummy, sweet black raspberry fruit with an alluring tobacco undercurrent. The tannins are muted the texture silky and slippery through the finish. You could drink this now, but we suggest another 12 months in the bottle to allow it to settle in. Fine quality.Tasted: 11 October 2018Tasted by: Prices:
