CedarCreek Platinum Block 5 Single Vineyard Chardonnay 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom the Block 5 within the East Kelowna Vineyard at the winery, this is the full-blown native-fermented edition in French barrels and puncheons that stays in the same wood for ten months. The style is New World but well weighty and fruity, with refined acidity, structure and a linear line that makes it fun to sip. It's not for Burgundy lovers but rather those who prefer the next wines of the new world. Creamy floral notes lead ripe pear and similarly sweet grapefruit with flecks of minerality. It’s all saved by a persistent acidity and citrus note that travels front to back. Give this three to five years to really shine or drink it now with a robust, savoury chicken dish.Tasted: 05 July 2018Tasted by: Prices:
