Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is very good version of what is usually a heady, perfumed merlot. As big as the 2014 is, it still offers up some hints of violets and minerality before the full force of its dark, potent, black fruit. Cassis, black plums and freshness (acidity) carry the story on through to a warm spicy (balsamic) finish.
