Planeta La Segreta Bianco 2015

Sicily, ItalyEstablished in 1995, Planeta is based on 17 generations of agriculture on Sicily (since 1500s). La Segreta takes its name from the woods that surrounds the winery's vineyard at Ulmo. 50 percent grecanico (aka garganega), 30 percent chardonnay, 10 percent each of viognier and fiano has spent time in stainless steel to preserve the bright fruit. Light floral, almond blossoms, pear, yellow apple ride along a slick of lees to the snappy finish. Tart and fresh and salty, and so Mediterranean, this was meant for summer seafood: think prawns or clams.Tasted: 28 August 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
