Kendall-Jackson Jackson Estate Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesThe KJ Jackson Estate Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is no shrinking violet. The attack is powerful, led by spicy, savoury black fruit with substantial mountain-style tannins. The 98 percent cabernet sauvignon is further amped by a touch of two percent petit verdot. Big, ripe and rich, this is a hedonistic style that will require another five to seven years in bottle to settle down. A blend of Alexander sites, it's aged for 19 months in an 83/17 ratio of French to American oak with only 31 percent new barrels. If you don’t cellar this, try it with a juicy T-Bone steak, portobello mushrooms, or a favourite lamb recipe.Tasted: 31 July 2017Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
