The attack is powerful, led by spicy, savoury black fruit with substantial mountain-style tannins. The 98 percent cabernet sauvignon is further amped by a touch of two percent petit verdot. Big, ripe and rich, this is a hedonistic style that will require another five to seven years in bottle to settle down. A blend of Alexander sites, it's aged for 19 months in an 83/17 ratio of French to American oak with only 31 percent new barrels.
