Noble Ridge The One Sparkling 2012
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaTreve and I really enjoyed this toasty, smoked stone scented sparkler, packed with orchard-fruit. 81/19 Okanagan Falls chardonnay/pinot noir spends 41 months on the lees, affording it a complex, nutty lustre and depth. Ripe apple, Rainier cherry, wild strawberry, croissant is propped up with a brace of acidity on the medium-bodied, lees-lined palate. The finish is serious and firm, almost austere. This drinks well now, but will reward with a year or two more in bottle when it can relax and breathe. Well done.Tasted: 01 May 2017Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:BC | $39.90 | 750ml | winery direct, private wine shops |
