Clos du Soleil Grower's Series Pinot Blanc Middle Bench Vineyard 2016
Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSimilar to the 2014 vintage, this was sourced from Middle Bench Vineyard in Keremeos, and fermented and aged in stainless. There's still lots of youthful lime fruit, as it is just beginning to develop toasty notes from bottle age. But this wine is all about the texture: it's concentrated with noticeable dry extract, precise fruit, and very good length. Subdued and elegant, make sure not to serve this chilled or you'll miss it. Will be worthwhile to follow its progression over the next 2-3 years.Tasted: 05 October 2019Tasted by: Prices:
Clos du Soleil Grower's Series Pinot Blanc Middle Bench Vineyard 2016
Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaStainless steel and a long, cool ferment was utilized to preserve the crisp, tight and pithy tangerine fruit aromas. On the palate, Asian pear crunchy acidity, with yellow apple, pear and peach with fuzzy apricot and a kiss of anise on the stony finish. A slight bump of sugar offsets the zippy acidity here, leaving this fresh and ready for summer at a bonus 12.5 percent alcohol. The annual, all-Similkameen, Grower's Series Collection features one white and one red selected by winemaker Michael Clark. The pinot blanc comes off the Middle Bench Vineyard in Keremeos.Tasted: 26 May 2017Tasted by: Prices:
