Clos du Soleil Grower's Series Pinot Blanc Middle Bench Vineyard 2014
Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis pinot blanc comes from Middle Bench Vineyard in Keremeos, was whole-cluster pressed, fermented, and matured in stainless for five months. It shows a waxy, toasty nose that is reminiscent of aged semillon, with lime fruit and crushed oystershell. Dry in style, the acid is still crisp and linear, with five years of bottle age contributing midpalate broadness. This is drinking well now, with a nice balance of primary and tertiary fruit.Tasted: 05 October 2019Tasted by: Prices:
Clos du Soleil Grower's Series Pinot Blanc Middle Bench Vineyard 2014
Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom the Clos du Soleil Grower's Series collection this pinot blanc comes from the Middle Bench Vineyard in Keremeos. Perfumed orchard fruits greet immediately on the nose - pear, yellow apples, white peach - and a top note of stone and wildflowers. These notes carry onto the bright palate, where subtle honey, lightly creamy lees and ample fine stony spice comes into play. Lovely, stone-driven, elegant and bright example of what pinot blanc, handled well, can achieve. Halibut would be a great choice here.Tasted: 14 September 2015Tasted by: Prices:
