Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandThis Marlborough chardonnay has spent eighteen months in French Oak barrels on full solids, a small portion of said wood is new. No racking and natural MLF this structured white is rich with toasted popcorn, wild flowers, perfumed pear, earthy lees and smoked stone. The intensity and texture is well balanced with riveting fruit and pointed acidity underneath. Flint lingers on the finish.
