Champagne Pol Roger Brut Vintage 2006

Champagne, FranceThe ‘06 Pol Roger is a 60/40 pinot noir/chardonnay selected from a mix of 20 grands and premiers crus vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. Limited bottles ensure high quality along with an 8-year sleep in the cellars. Elegant but full describes this round and generous fizz with a dough, brioche and fine, pithy lemon middle. The acidity is very precise with an herbal component on the honeyed stony finish. Slightly fuller and more complex than the Blanc de Chardonnay.
