Champagne Pol Roger Brut Vintage 1999

Champagne, FranceVery fine bubbles. Spicy, earthy, brioche, toasty, baked apple, pear, citrus, honey aromas. Crisp, round, juicy, slightly fuller with better acidity balance. Toasty, lemon, orange, baked apple, floral, honey, strawberry, spicy, creamy flavours. Good depth and persistence with some complexity and the ability to age. Slightly fuller and more complex than the Blanc de Chardonnay although they both spend seven years en tirage - the same as many Grand Marques.Tasted: 16 October 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
