Coolshanagh Chardonnay 2014

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaCoolshanagh is a meeting place of friends. It is also a small vineyard that sits 7 kilometres north of Naramata. This was harvested and produced by winemaker Matt Dumayne at Okanagan Crush Pad. Approximately one third was fermented in lightly toasted French puncheons and the balance in concrete eggs before eleven months on the lees. An alluring reduction kicks off this fuller bodied chardonnay, one carrying textured crisp pear, green apple, broken stones, earthy lees and wild herbs, all hemmed in skillfully and quietly with a verve of acidity. A swing of perfumed sweet lemon lingers on the finish, welcoming pairing with lobster or crab. In its youth; this will hold for 3-5 years easy in your cellar.Tasted: 27 December 2016Tasted by: Prices:
