Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaCoolshanagh continues to evolve in style, seemingly getting softer and broader on the palate, which will appeal to some and not so much to others looking for a brighter white. It's whole cluster pressed and fermented 50% in stainless steel and a mix of new French puncheons and concrete tulips where it spends nine months on lees. The palate is a mix of ripe red apples and honey mixed with soupy, nutty, smoky, toasted oats and a pear and butter custard underside. There is a touch of lime zest in the finish, but it needs more time to pull together. Best now with roasted chicken or a favourite vegetable dish.Tasted: 09 September 2021Tasted by: Prices:

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaCoolshanagh is a meeting place of friends. It is also a small vineyard that sits 7 kilometres north of Naramata. This chardy was whole-cluster pressed and fermented 50% in stainless, with the remainder in a mix of new 500L French puncheons and concrete tulips. After 9 months of rest, its on lees, the final blend was bottled without fining. Ripe and round, with ample toasted oats, smoked wood, baked pear, apple custard, butter, and smoked stone and ash through a blunter finish. This is somewhat disjointed at this stage, though a very rich cream sauced dish should help mitigate.Tasted: 21 August 2021Tasted by: Prices:
