Black Sage Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaI like the 2013 but this is even better. A ripe cabernet sauvignon, yeah, and it is not sweet. The vineyard block is one of the warmest sites in the Okanagan and it looks like winemaker/grower Jason James has really got a handle on it. Close your eyes and a little bit of Napa Valley comes into view. Love the acidity here that fends off the savoury, ripe fruit and carries the tannin. Juicy and drinkable but this will get better over the next three years in the bottle. Steak is the ticket and serve it rare to medium rare.Tasted: 09 December 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $24.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
