Ventoux, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThey say that magnums (1500ml) are in, but were they ever out? Here’s a barbecue red that will turn heads all night because it's fun to drink and the bottle is, well big. This Ventoux red slides down with ease, mixing carignan, cinsault, grenache and syrah. Fresh and juicy, with light tannins, it is a grilled beef slayer—and it is under screwcap. Best of all is the price in magnum at $18.99 or 9.50 per bottle. Back up the truck.Tasted: 27 September 2017Tasted by: Prices:
Ventoux, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceA mainstay on our market as much for the price and availability as for the easy gulpability of this Ventoux red, a blend of carignan, cinsault, grenache and syrah. From the Perrin family, this is a juicy, easy, simple, smooth and red fruited blend. Tannins are powdery and the finish is somewhat short, but this is a taste of the Rhone for a bargain price so crack the screw cap and pour with weeknight chicken thighs.Tasted: 26 October 2016Tasted by: Prices:
