Black Hills Syrah 2014

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMeaty, peppery and violet-perfumed, this plush, full bodied red is from estate vineyards in the sunny South Okanagan. The ripeness is evident in the deep and sun-sweet black fruit: plums, blackberry and raspberry, all imbued with highly perfumed violets and sweetly smoky mocha. Tannins are very soft and silky smoothed, stretching through to the sweetly spiced (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove) finish. Acidity is fine and delicate, but persistent. Drinking well now, though will hold with short term cellaring.Tasted: 24 October 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
