Noble Ridge Stony Knoll Chardonnay 2013

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaNormally a little fresher and brighter the 2013 is a riper version with more honey and apricots mixed with red apple fruits. Not quite as floral or stony in 13 the round and soft easy-drinking style pulls you into the glass. Peach red apple slides down the palate with little or no oak influence. How does pappardelle with bacon, Gruyere, Swiss cheese and walnuts sound. The wine is 92 percent fermented in stainless steel tanks; eight percent goes into one-year-old barrels.
