North Coast, North Coast Region, California, United StatesSledgehammer represents a growing lineup of sweet red wines that are flooding the American and Canadian marketplace. Not particularly clean this herbaceous earthy, chocolate, cedar-scented red is as sweet as they come on the palate. Cherries, prunes and milk chocolate assault your palate leaving it cloyingly sweet and almost sticky.
