Tinhorn Creek Chardonnay 2014

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAmple toast, white peach and pear open this southern Okanagan chardonnay, sourced from eighteen year old vines on the Black Sage Bench and four year old vines on the Golden Mile Bench. For the first time in 2014, 100 percent wild yeast ferment was used. Toasty spice leads the palate, propping up lemon drop, white grapefruit, pear pastry, toasted coconut and a thorny herbal note. The toasty wood overrides all at present (50 percent was fermented in new French and American wood), so hoping that's dialled back in future, allowing the lovely, pure herbal-tinged fruit to really shine.Tasted: 05 December 2015Tasted by: Prices:
