Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBig chocolate, coffee, vanilla, peppery, black cherry, light game, sweaty saddle leather with a pruny note. Dry, lean, tight and tart entry with light tannins. Smoky, coffee, peppery, vanilla, saddle leather, medicinal, black berry and game flavours. This lacks the mid-palate you would expect at this level. Drink now with grilled lamb chops.Tasted: 23 December 2015Tasted by: Prices:

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRoasted meats, grilled onion and light smoke open this southern Okanagan syrah, with grapes coming from both the Black Sage Bench and Golden Mile Bench. Dense, ripe and chewy black fruit pervades the roasted notes on the full palate, with leather and espresso lingering on the finish. Ample tannins are a bit sticky, and the finish carries a bit of heat; this would be a great match with beef short ribs or lamb shank.Tasted: 09 September 2015Tasted by: Prices:
