Château Pesquié Terrasses Blanc 2014
Ventoux, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceChateau Pesquié sits in the Ventoux region overlooking the Rhone Valley. Now a quarter-century old, the Chaudière family runs over 100 hectares of vineyards, all sustainably grown on organic soils. “Terrasses” refers to the terraced vineyards built on the slopes of Ventoux, in this case, a viognier blended with a bit of roussanne and clairette. The style is fresh, with orange blossoms, lemon-lime, and mineral notes. I love the balance, medium-weight bits of honey, and more citrus in the finish — a perfect grilled chicken wine.Tasted: 18 September 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $17.99 | 750ml | speculative listing - Icon Wines |
