CedarCreek Gewürztraminer 2014
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAnother warm year has beefed up this wine that is long on florals, rose petals and weight but a bit short on acidity. The attack is warm and full-bodied with ginger spice, lime oil and fat round litchi fruit with sweet pears. Twenty percent ferment in French oak plumps up the full body and ample creaminess, which draw through to a spicy, gingery finish. This will have many fans and the sweetness will tame most spicy dishes but we want a bit more freshness in the long run.Tasted: 31 October 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:BC | $15.59 | 750ml | BCLS |
