Valle de Marchigue, Valle del Colchagua, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileThe Ecos de Rulo wines are estate bottled Colchagua Valley. The 2012 is a 90/10 mix of Marchihue merlot and petit verdot that opens with an attractive, bay leaf, spicy boldo nose with bits of cassis and black fruit and vanilla. The attack is elegant with very smooth, silky tannins and bright, savoury cherry fruit with some acidity poking through the back end.
