Stag's Hollow Heritage Block 2012
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaInitially very reductive on the nose that cleared off to reveal notes of black pepper, roast bell pepper, cassis, smoky, coffee, light black cherry, rubber and cedar aromas. Dry, somewhat lean and a touch astringent with smoky, prune, black licorice, cassis, rooty, sour cherry and olive flavours. Finish is quite warm and tart with some tannins to shed.
