Ruffino Riserva Ducale Oro Chianti Classico Riserva 2009
Tuscany, ItalyNot quite up to the 2010. Lighter cherry, brick colour. Smoky, prune, peppery, light sausage meat nose with flecks of black cherry, balsamic/cigar aromas. Dry, round, fresh, elegant palate with light tannins but fine concentration. Smoky, coffee, peppery, roast meat with red fruits/cherry jam, licorice root, savoury, tobacco/prune flavours. Good intensity but finish is a bit dry and pruny. Drink now with grilled beef or mushroom pasta or age two or three years to round out further.Tasted: 25 August 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $43.49 | 750ml | BCLS |
