Le Vieux Pin Petit Rouge 2013

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMerlot is splashed with syrah before it rests in neutral French oak in this welcoming, friendly red. A cuvee of younger vines, the LVP Petit line is meant to be enjoyed daily with food, without pretence. Juicy cherry, raspberry, cloves and dark plum on the perfumed, fuller bodied palate. Tannins are softly chewy and the finish is duskily spiced. At 14.3% alcohol, this has the warmth and weight to tackle lamb and fennel sausages or lentils with lardons.Tasted: 04 June 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
