Le Vieux Pin Petit Rouge 2012

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe mantra of Petit Rouge or 'little red' is drinkability no easy task when the fruit is made from rambunctious young vines. The merlot and syrah spill onto the palate with a touch of lifted cassis fruit, firm acidity and fairly dry mouth puckering tannins and a slightly resiny finish. It spends a total of 14 months in stainless steel tanks and neutral oak barrels before it is blended. Best with hamburgers or grilled sausages to tame the edges.Tasted: 28 July 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
