Drouhin Vaudon Chablis Reserve de Vaudon 2013

Chablis, Burgundy, FranceThe Réserve de Vaudon is a mix of Drouhin property fruit mostly from the Valley of Vauvillien between the Premier Crus of Montée de Tonnerre and Mont de Milieu. The soil is marine-based containing millions of tiny fossils that once laid on the seabed. The average yield at the domain is just over 55hl/ha roughly five percent below the 60hl/ha limit. The fruit is bio-dynamically grown and the fermentation and ageing is all done in stainless steel for 7 to 8 months. The nose is fresh, with a tight mix of floral, lemon, mineral, salty notes. It is similarly fresh with round, lively red apple and chalky flavours. Oysters anyone.Tasted: 03 April 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
