Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaTinhorn Creek was one of the first to champion single variety cabernet franc in the southern Okanagan. Here in the 2012 vintage, smoked wood, cassis and branch reflect franc's characteristic earthiness, while the ripe Bing cherry and floral raspberry elements remind me of the warm Okanagan sunshine. Big spice throughout the medium bodied red, finishing with a whack of wood spice and a musk perfume.
