Spierhead Pinot Gris 2013
East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWinemaker Bill Pierson appears to have the touch, which means he doesn't touch his wines if it isn't necessary. The '13 gris is another fine effort from the intense pear and tropical fruit/guava aromas. The attack is juicy and fresh with red apples, guava, lime and honey all flecked with a touch of minerality. Very food friendly; we paired this with crab cakes and fresh corn and it was perfection.
