Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesSimilar to past editions but now with even better integration and finesse or should we say symmetry. Smoke and cedar waft through its savoury, vanilla, black cherry and licorice nose. The attack is dry and elegant the tannins finely polished. The palate is a mix of blackberry jam, black cherries and liquorice flecked with mineral, vanilla, cedar and savoury dried herbs. You can drink this now with T-bone steak for balance or wait two to five years for it to completely mature.
