Haywire Lunar New Year White 2013
Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA limited release of 200 cases of this wine was released in celebration of the Lunar New Year and ring in the Year of the Sheep in 2015. This aromatic blend of gewürztraminer, chardonnay and viognier was designed specifically to pair with Asian cuisine, so prevalent our Pacific Rim food scene. Perfumed blossoms, lilac, fragrant peaches and pears to start. The bright, juicy palate shows expressive tropical melon, orange blossoms, honeysuckle, fleshy peach, peach fuzz and lime cordial. Off-dry with lifted acidity to carry, this indeed would partner with fragrant Thai curries or citrus-slicked noodles with prawns.
