Clos du Soleil Signature 2012

British Columbia, CanadaThe 2012 Signature is a 48/42/9/1/ mix of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot that spends 18 months in French oak. A wonderful growing season has supercharged this red blend now one of the best in the province. Look for quiet aromatics of spicy black cherries, blueberries with a savoury note that penetrates the finish. Seamless tannins and silky textures seem to buoy the ripe fruit perfectly offset by notes of tobacco and dried herbs and the perfect tension of acidity. Terrific balance suggest this wine will improve for a decade in bottle. A fabulous Similkameen statement.
